Avenue English is the new world - class boutique school in Cape Town.  This is what we have been doing since opening our new center in November 2022.

In January we welcomed a Business Intern student through InternAfrika to take care of our social media marketing.  Quentin is 19 and from France and will be with us for 6 months.  He is young, innovative, extremely excited to be at Avenue English and is pro-actively involved in all aspects of the school so that he really feels a part of our family.  Avenue English Cape Town is being thrown around social media through the eyes of a young, adventurous student who is experiencing all that Cape Town has to offer.

Avenue English entered into an IELTS partnership programme with the British Council.  We have always delivered a strong preparation course for IELTS students to achieve the band score that they require for the Academic and General exams, but now we are proud to have both centres validated by the trust that the British Council has given us.  We can now work together in marketing the IELTS exam to foreigners, second language and mother-tongue English speakers for study or immigration purposes.  We truly look forward to consolidating this partnership even further.

Avenue English Cape Town has started introducing a strong social activity programme. 

The last Wednesday of every month is for us to celebrate all the different cultures at our school through a shared lunch table.  Everyone brings a typical dish from their country to share with peers and staff.

Tuesdays with Debbie is being launched to explore Sea Point – be it the mountain behind us, the variety of beaches in front of us or the myriad shops and restaurants on either side of us.  Students accompany Debbie – an English teacher born and bred in Sea Point with oodles of energy and knowledge, on walkabouts on Tuesday afternoons.  These walkabouts are to explore our eclectic neighbourhood, with added fun from an exceptionally experienced teacher.

And then we have Bradley, a new tourism partner who has his own touring company, Trail Tuned to offer weekend outings to all the exciting points of interest in and around Cape Town e.g., Cape Point, Simonstown and wine farms.  He also offers full weekend tours to explore the Garden Route.

Busy, busy we are.  Looking forward to welcoming students from all over the world.
